Chris Adessa is a professional fine artist in Sausalito, California. Born in Western New York, she was drawn to the San Francisco Bay Area for its gentle climate and majestic vistas.
The fluid boundary between land and sea captivates her. It guides her palette and brushes to explore the play of light on the mist and the rugged cliffs and countryside. She says: “My inspirations here are endless; they change with the angle of the sun, the fog, the tide and the passing clouds. I want each tendril of fog to float in the wind after my last brush stroke.”
Chris supports environmental causes that preserve our treasured open spaces for future generations to enjoy. She participates in the M.A.L.T Show (Ranches and Rolling Hills) and the Bigger Picture donating a percentage of sales to the cause. Her B.S. in Art from Penn State and training with top landscape painters continues her journey down this path. Her work is collected internationally and shown in exhibitions, galleries and museums.
Please visit her website for more information about her work and shows. Please visit her open studio the first weekend of December in Sausalito.
