Bryn Wears-Fitipaldi draws on a background in the arts to inform her design sensibilities and cross-genre work. Through the use of elemental geometries and repeated sequences, her pieces explore the connection between art and architecture, surface and space, reason and creativity, the artist’s hand and technology, object and place. She utilizes a variety of media including ink, paint, paper/collage, textiles, wood, concrete, and wool to create abstract geometrics. Her work draws on influences from Le Corbusier, the Bauhaus, Joaquín Torres Garcia, and Sol Lewitt.

Bryn graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA with honors from Monmouth College and holds a Master’s Degree with distinction in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to moving to the Bay Area, she lived and worked in Chicago for the award-winning firm Sheehan Partners (Sheehan Nagle Hartray) during which time she founded the pattern and surface design company, Namavari. After relocating to the bay area, she co-founded the Sausalito- based architectural design firm Archipelago. She is a contributing writer for Critical Dance Magazine, and a former Chair of the Board of Directors for the non-profit, Architecture for Humanity-Chicago. She has exhibited art and architectural work in Chicago, St. Louis, and Helsinki, Finland.
