The effectiveness of jazz in movies will be the topic of the Community Media Center of Marin's "Ask the Experts" presentation on Thursday, January 25.

In "All That Jazz" award-winning composer Marcia Bauman will screen clips from classic films such as "A Streetcar Named  Desire" (which would have been banned had the jazz music not been dramatically toned down) and the French film "Ascenseur pour l'échafaud" ("Elevator to the Gallows"), featuring the music of Miles Davis.
