Beginning Bookbinding: The Buttonhole-Stitch Artis...

Presented by O’Hanlon Center for the Arts at O'Hanlon Center for the Arts

Bookbinding workshop with Derek Bacchus

We will begin with bookbinding basics to familiarize yourself, and for your future independent work: tools, text and cover papers, paper grain, folding, deckled edges, needles, and threads.

You will end up with your own 4 ½” x 6″ journal, and instructions, so you can scale up in many different ways — size, number of signatures, and inventiveness of materials selection and finishing techniques.

Beginners expected!

Derek Bacchus is a publishing consultant, creative director, designer, photographer, educator, and bookbinder.
