Ideology vs Partisanship in the United States

Ideology vs Partisanship in the United States

Presented by One Book One Marin at Corte Madera Library

Are people in the U.S. as polarized as has been reported? Are there areas of shared beliefs and goals?

Defining both partisanship and ideology in the U.S. is important for understanding how we develop beliefs and positions on public policy issues.

Alison Howard Ph. D., Department Chair, Political Science & International Studies at Dominican University of California, will lead a discussion about how the framing of the role of government, policy choices, and issues impact people’s opinions and positions.

This event is presented by One Book One Marin, as part of the 2018 program celebrating Strangers in Their Own Land, by Arlie Russell Hochschild.
