Friday Music & Morsels: Pianist Ian Scarfe

Friday Music & Morsels: Pianist Ian Scarfe

Presented by Osher Marin JCC at Osher Marin JCC

Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel were two pioneering figures of 20th Century music, and the two most often associated with the French Impressionism movement in music.

Pianist Ian Scarfe leads the audience through a program featuring some of their most colorful and memorable works for piano, including:

Debussy's Preludes and Suite Bergamasque, and Ravel's Sonatine and Piano Suite Le Tombeau de Couperin.

What is Friday Music & Morsels:

Start the weekend a few hours early; come celebrate Friday with talk, treats & tunes!

Enter our lovely, light-filled atrium. Sit at an intimate 4-seat cabaret table, which allows new and long-time friends a chance to meet, relax and connect. In the wonderful tradition of many European countries, enjoy an afternoon “dessert & coffee” (or tea)…with our compliments!

Then, sit back and bask in a terrific program featuring the artistry of great musicians. Each month will feature different musical and culinary treats

Ian Scarfe, a native of southeast Texas, is currently a music associate at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He works as a freelance musician in the San Francisco Bay-Area, and each year completes several concert tours, which take him across the United States, Canada, and Europe. He is the founder and director of the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival, which is dedicated to bringing classical music to the communities in and around scenic Trinity County in Northern California.
