This four-session, hands-on night photography workshop includes on-location shooting sessions at some of Hendrik’s favorite night locations: the dazzling lights of  San Francisco and the natural beauty of the Marin Headlands! Whether you are an experienced night photographer, or if you have never ventured out into the dark with your camera and tripod, this class will resonate with you—and have you out at night with your camera on a regular basis!

The class will look at the important aspects of photographing successfully at night, which are different than daytime shooting, including composition, long exposures, camera settings, tripods, and filters.

Technical considerations in this class will include shutter speed, aperture settings, ISO, and other key settings for creating successful night photography images. As one of Hendrik’s students said: “Experiment. Don’t be afraid to take several shots with different exposures. I never thought I’d have my shutter open for 5+ minutes and have a great photo!”
