I C E L A N D :: blue is inspired by an artist residency in a textile centre in a small town in northern Iceland--and about chasing down an elusive blue seen in a photograph. In the process, the special blue color was found by the artist, but also many other rich and deep soul-fulfilling blues, collectively called “Iceland blue.”

The show includes indigo-dipped landscapes, cyanotypes of wool roving and ram’s horns, interpretations of weavings and waterfalls, quick sketches from the bus, and minimal ink drawings inspired by the blues from northern Iceland.
