Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy were the most beloved double act in the movies from 1927 – 1955. This series features a new batch of beautiful restorations from the UCLA Film and Television Archive to breathe new life into a classic duo’s hijinks.
Two years ago the Rafael presented beautifully restored Laurel and Hardy comedies. This legendary comedy duo predated Abbot and Costello and have influenced famous comedians such as Dick Van Dyke and Ricky Gervais.
This series features a new batch of beautiful restorations from the UCLA Film and Television Archive to savor and it’s safe to say they haven’t looked this good since they were first released. The audio and visual components were painstakingly renewed so contemporary audiences can experience the two who revolutionized comedy.
