3 separate choices connecting history and social science to popular music
Engage students in learning by using instructional strategies that:
* Integrate Rock Music with themes from history-social science
* Links music composition and lyrics to student expression
* Connects student learning to their civic role in their community (Global Competency, all-day session)
1/2 day sessions include: Teach Rock brings rich, multimedia educational materials to teachers through lesson plan collections. Lessons will engage students by connecting the history of popular music to classroom work across all of the disciplines.
All day session also includes: How do you connect the world outside of our communities to the learning in the classroom? How do you bring in relevancy for students? Engage in a workshop that targets using themes, inquiry, and project based learning generated from student questions about the world around them.

Special Education Teachers, Instructional Coaches
