Haiku Reading with local haiku master Chuck Brickley
Local haiku master Chuck Brickley reads from his recently published collection earthshine—winner of the Touchstone Distinguished Books Award 2017.
Brickley’s poetry speaks from a deep communion with nature, as well as a personal assimilation of the venerable Japanese aesthetics wabi, sabi, karumi and, among others, mu.
Brickley & friends also perform several haibun from RAVEN, a work-in-progress that combines haiku with prose. In conjunction with the O’Hanlon Center’s annual wabi sabi exhibit.
