For the Sake of the Children

On February 19, 1942,  President Franklin Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, which authorized the incarceration of 120,000 Japanese Americans in desolate camps throughout the U.S.

For the Sake of the Children tells the poignant stories of three generations of Japanese American, whose families were incarcerated during World War II, and the long-term impact of the incarceration experience on them as descendants.  The documentary reveals the fallout of injustice.

A panel discussions will follow the film to examine "Executive Order 9066" and Executive Orders today as current and past generations of Japanese heritage strive to preserve their freedom, democracy and humanity.
