From before the dawn of recorded history, humans have looked up into the skies and wondered what is out there. Artists have depicted the heavens, and astronomers have probed the celestial universe.

This dialogue brings contemporary artists together with perspectives from astrophysics to consider the Bolinas Museum’s current exhibition "Cosmic Wonders" and what the differing kinds of images and artifacts in it tell us about our desire to understand the universe.

What does a drawing tell us that a photograph doesn’t? How is a photograph by an astronomer different from one by an artist? Join us as we probe the in nite and learn what inspired these artists and scientists.
