With artist Karen Meadows – Beginning and advanced levels welcome to creatively explore and expand the wax medium as a surface painting technique on sculptural or flat forms.
Bees Wax is a magical material, suitable for painting on various surfaces, including bisque ware and wood. This beginning-advanced workshop is aimed for those of you who are curious to either learn, or expand your creative voice in new ways.
If you are a beginner, you will learn about all the tools and techniques and come away with several pieces ready to hang.
You may bring your own bisque ware, 2D or 3D, or use what will be provided in the way of tiles, or cradled wood panels.
A power point will be given to include historical as well as encaustics in contemporary art. 2 and 3-D applications
Techniques will include:
