This year marks 50 years since the Summer of ‘67, and Italian Street Painting Marin is excited to celebrate this far-out occasion through the captivating art of street painting and music June 24-25 with Summer of Love: An Art & Music Experience!
Over 100 renowned Madonnari (street painters) from the United States, Canada and Mexico will come together over art – transforming the streets into an awe-inspiring quilt of talent, color, and local history.
Journeying back to the era of peace and love, much of this year’s artwork will pay homage to the Summer of Love theme and focus on the cultural revolution that started in the San Francisco Bay Area, changing art, music, and the direction of the country forever.
Lending even more of a psychedelic-flair to the event, attendees will have the chance to meet legendary artist Stanley Mouse and view an exhibition of his iconic Rock and Roll posters.
To get attendees groovin’, top musical hits from the era will be performed Saturday and Sunday on the main stage by tribute band, Aquarius, along with many notable and musically diverse local performers.
