A new adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya from local playwright Jesse Brownstein, directed by David Abrams
October 26-November 18
Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm
Sundays, November 11 & 18 at 2pm
Birdbath Theatres presents a new adaptation of Uncle Vanya, a surreal look at Chekhov’s classic tale of provincial Russian life.
Director David Abrams has worked with the adaptation of longtime friend and fellow bay area local, Jesse Brownstein, to give new life to the iconic text.
Performed in the anachronistic atmosphere of The Belrose in San Rafael, and with the aid of live music, minimal set, and a brilliant cast of actors, the iconic becomes personal, the private becomes exposed, and reality becomes the collective dream. Join us for the reverie.
