This class will begin with a fun, energetic warm-up focused on building proper dance technique.
The center will work on developing the technical skills of turns and jumps.
Finishing class with choreography from the Broadway hit, Mean Girls!
Level: Advanced Beginning/Intermediate Ages: 12 & up
Donna Cerio has been a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer and a member of Actors' Equity Association for decades. Trained at the School of Cleveland Ballet, she has danced in the National Tours of Cabaret, CATS, Chicago, Joseph...and Dreamcoat, Sweet Charity, and the pre-Broadway Fosse Workshops, as well as many regional productions. She has taught extensively in New York City at Steps on Broadway and with the National Dance Institute, and has a wide range of Off-Broadway choreography credits.
On the West Coast, Donna has taught and choreographed at the Professional and University level at TheatreWorks, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, ArtsBridge, and Ballet San Jose. Donna specializes in training the next generation of Broadway dancers building strong technique, expression and performance skills in a diverse range of choreography. Her students have been accepted in the most prestigious University Musical Theatre, Dance, and Theatre programs including Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan, Penn State, Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Boston Conservatory, Syracuse, NYU-Tisch, and Julliard.
