Fun Saturday workshop to learn how to design, create, make and install handmade multi-tile art installations as solo and community projects, including hands on tile making.
Artist Aileen Barr will guide you through the process of creating public art projects with handmade tile.
With her 25 years of experience creating artwork for stairways, parks, schools, etc, she will give a presentation on a variety of her work and discuss how to coordinate a successful project from initial ideas to installation.
She will also explore creative ways of working with communities.
Part of the workshop will be hands-on. You will have the opportunity to design and create a hand made multi-tile piece which will include cutting, carving, decorating, etc. Installation techniques will also be discussed.
