Lucas Valley Chamber Orchestra performs music of three great Classical era composers, with a focus on Paris Symphonies by both Haydn and Mozart, and a special treat from Franz Krommer
Eighteenth century Paris beckoned three great Classical era composers, Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Krommer.
Featuring these greats, our program will open with Haydn’s “Paris” Symphony No. 86.
Franz Krommer’s “Rondo for Two Clarinets" which features the LVCO Clarinet section, Alan Shonkoff and Bill Noonan, then follows.
Finishing the day’s presentation, LVCO will perform Mozart’s Symphony No. 31, known as “The Paris Symphony.”
Lucas Valley Chamber Orchestra (LVCO) is a self-directed, cooperatively managed orchestra based in Marin County. Many LVCO players are CMNC members.
The performance is sponsored by Christ Presbyterian Church of Terra Linda and LVCO. Christ Presbyterian provides significant support in our community for children and adults with developmental disabilities. It provides valuable space for LVCO to rehearse and to present concerts.
All donations collected at this performance will go to Christ Presbyterian Church to support their programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Free admission, donations collected at this performance will go to Christ Presbyterian Church
