Concertmaster Daniel Hope returns to the Bay Area to present a program of familiar works through a new lens, featuring the title work of his best-selling recording:  Recomposed: Vivaldi -- The Four Seasons by Max Richter.

Henry Purcell:  Chacony in G minor (Arr. Benjamin Britten)

Robert Schumann:  2nd Movement from the Violin Concerto (Arr. Britten)

Ralph Vaughan Williams:  Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis

Peter Warlock:  Capriol Suite

Max Richter:  Recomposed: Vivaldi - The Four Seasons

 

ABOUT NCCO The New Century Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1992, looks for fresh, exciting ways to present classical music in the San Francisco Bay Area by combining performances of extraordinary quality with innovative programming. One of only a handful of conductorless ensembles in the world, New Century is comprised of local musicians and those who travel from across the U.S. and Europe to perform in the Bay Area together.

Directions
From Highway 101 in San Rafael, take the North San Pedro exit and head east. The Osher Marin JCC, at 200 N. San Pedro Road, is on the right-hand side, half a mile from the freeway exit.

Free Parking

* The Osher Marin Jewish Community Center's parking lot is located directly in front of the building with parking spaces for disabled patrons available.

* Additional parking is available at the JCC Annex lot, located at 210 N. San Pedro Road (just east of the main campus). In the event of multiple programs, or heavily attended events, overflow vehicles may be directed to available street parking or on adjacent properties.

* Evenings and weekends only: There is additional parking across the street at Venetia Valley School.
