NCCO PROGRAM 3: Forbidden Music
Daniel Hope leads a program of music written in the shadow of oppressive regimes, featuring New Century debut artist Venezuelan-American pianist Vanessa Perez.
At the center of this fascinating program is the Double Concerto for Violin, Piano and Orchestra by the Jewish Czech composer Edwin Schulhoff whose music was banned by the Nazis before the start of World War II.

ABOUT NCCO The New Century Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1992, looks for fresh, exciting ways to present classical music in the San Francisco Bay Area by combining performances of extraordinary quality with innovative programming. One of only a handful of conductorless ensembles in the world, New Century is comprised of local musicians and those who travel from across the U.S. and Europe to perform in the Bay Area together.

Directions
From Highway 101 in San Rafael, take the North San Pedro exit and head east. The Osher Marin JCC, at 200 N. San Pedro Road, is on the right-hand side, half a mile from the freeway exit.
Free Parking
* The Osher Marin Jewish Community Center's parking lot is located directly in front of the building with parking spaces for disabled patrons available.
* Additional parking is available at the JCC Annex lot, located at 210 N. San Pedro Road (just east of the main campus). In the event of multiple programs, or heavily attended events, overflow vehicles may be directed to available street parking or on adjacent properties.
* Evenings and weekends only: There is additional parking across the street at Venetia Valley School.
