New work by Steven Polacco, MFA, Associate Professor, Graphic Arts at the Alemany Library Gallery.
Artist Statement:
This new work is about many things, but mostly it's about ephemerality and consistency, transience and permanence, activity and rest, scanning, and seeing. By activating and contrasting distinct substrates that each are encoded with rich histories as information vessels, I hope to challenge notions of mark making, graphic design and art.
Curated by the Students of Museum Studies Class:
Phillip Barr, Terise Camasura, Emmaline Harris, Peter Hoo, Manny Lee, Stephanie Lopez, Abigayl Mcleran, Jelani Olufemi, Hailey Pawlak, Jane Pera, Olivia Ramirez, Eduardo Tapia, Laura Taylor, Jasmin Viducic, Heena Yoon
