Unique culinary event pairs storytellers with a locally sourced, five-course dinner
Eat My Heart Out is a unique culinary event pairing storytellers with a locally sourced, five-course dinner created by Chef Matt Elias of The Bodega, whose menu will be inspired by the themes of the stories told.
This spring marks KWMR’s 20th anniversary on the FM airwaves, and accordingly, attendees of Eat My Heart Out will hear a story by one of the station’s key founders and first program director, Muriel Murch, in tandem with KWMR’s founding and current transmitter engineer, Richard Dillman.
Additional tales will be told by raconteur extraordinaire, Mark Buell; KWMR employee and performer, Mia Johnson; Moth award-winning storyteller, Neshama Franklin; and wry provocateur, Miguel Kuntz.
Each will present a tale to whet the palate for the dish to come, inspiring both the taste buds and the imagination!
Eat My Heart Out is produced by transmedia storyteller and actor, Eugene Ashton-Gonzalez, who promises that this year’s event will feature several special guest appearances.
