The Road to Romance – an intimate afternoon of live opera in a private hilltop home
Carmen, Sappho, Turandot, Samson et Dalila, Pagliacci, Zarzuela and La Traviata hits will be performed LIVE as Golden Gate Opera's “Spring Fling” returns to popular acclaim, Saturday May 18 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in Tiburon.
Spectacular hilltop Tiburon Bay views with opera singers up-close and personal in a comfortable living room setting create a unique event.

Hosted by Tiburon’s Cheryl Sorokin, guests will be treated to Champagne, wines and snacks, with Bar-B-Q Dinner catered by Forrest FiresBBQ, snacks from The Good Earth and dessert from Sweet Things in Tiburon.
Raffle includes wines, The Melting Pot, DivArt Freshwater Pearls created by soprano Olga Chernisheva and more.
The proceeds benefit the arts in Marin County and are especially to support Golden Gate Opera’s “Anti Racial Prejudice” opera program for schools going to middle schools and high schools next fall.
Reservations are a tax-deductible donation of $65-$100. Seating is in the "great room." Dining room chairs, comfortable couches, comfortable folding chairs and bar stools in the Solarium. With reservations in advance you can let us know where you would like to sit. Seating is limited.

3:00 pm - Home opens, snacks, spectacular view, wines and sparkling water, check out some of the prizes
3:45 pm - Brief pre-performance talk
3:55 pm - Performance Act I
4:30 pm - Intermission, including delicious dinner with Forrest Fires BBQ - pork, chicken, salad, and beans
5:00 pm - Performance Act II, followed by raffle results, prizes
5:30-6:00 pm - Enjoy sunset view and mingle with opera fans and friends
The home is easy to enter. From the street walk up a straight front walk. Inside the home is on one level, with seating in various places - living room, dining room, solarium with Baby Grand piano central surrounded by gorgeous views of the Bay from Tiburon.
If you have disabilities, have someone drop you off at the front walk and then park the car. Plenty of street parking. The home is at the top of a very slight hill where the road becomes level, in front of the house.
