Reverence for great jazz singers, fused with the spirit of contemporary folk, rock, and pop
Amanda Addleman’s musical approach is one well-steeped in a reverence for the traditions of great jazz singers and instrumentalists of the last century, yet her sound represents an informed departure from the tropes and fixations of earlier generations of improvisational musicians.
Addleman's style fuses the spirit of contemporary folk, rock, and pop composition and performance with a cohesive sound and a fluidity through genres.
She will be joined by three outstanding Bay Area musicians who share her roots in the jazz tradition and the passion for exploring other musics through the genre's rich language.
