Curated by Elia Haworth
Like a painter, tapestry weaver Jan Langdon layered geometric forms, weaving in vibrant and complex patterns of color and texture on her large floor loom.
Langdon studied at Cranbrook Academy of Art and with many accomplished teachers. She settled in the Bay Area in the 1960s, where she shared her passion with students for decades, co-founded The Weavers shop in Berkeley, and was a founding member of Black Mountain Weavers in Point Reyes Station. She lived in coastal Marin from 1974 - 2019.
