PianFrancisco – Piano Adventure at Fort Point

PianFrancisco – Piano Adventure at Fort Point

Presented by PianFrancisco at Fort Point, Presidio of San Francisco

PianFranciso creates unique music experiences by placing pianos in unexpected public places, delighting attendees and passerbys alike.

The events feature a scheduled set by renowned Bay Area musicians, after which members of the audience are often invited to play a song for the crowd.

PianFrancisco has earned a reputation of creating organic, casual music shows where all are welcome. Best of all, these events are always free!

This summer, PianFrancisco joins forces with Art in the Parks, a Parks Conservancy program which brings art forms of all kinds to the Golden Gate National Park Recreation Area.

For the first time ever, three pianos will be placed, for the public’s enjoyment, inside one of San Francisco’s most historic sites: FORT POINT. This architectural gem is located in the Presidio under the Golden Gate Bridge and has protected the San Francisco Bay for over 150 years.

The installation of 3 pianos throughout the fort will be open to the public between Friday, August 23 and Sunday, August 25th, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. All are welcome to take a seat at a piano and play a tune!

In addition, on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, free scheduled concerts and talks will take place in the fort.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of classical music and fascinating stories about Fort Point's colorful past. Enjoy some beautiful music and learn something about this incredible historic site!

Food and beverages (other than water) are not allowed inside the Fort
