Our 47th season highlighting internationally celebrated classical artists
Mill Valley Chamber Music Society announces its 2019-2020 concert series highlighting internationally celebrated classical artists and the annual Marin Music Chest “Young Artists' Concert.”
Concerts are presented at 5pm Sundays at the Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church, an intimate concert venue featuring superb acoustics and free parking.

Ashu, with his warm and engaging personality, unique story and charismatic performance style, is one of today's most engaging and pioneering musicians. Alexandre Moutouzkine is a winner of renowned competition awards including the Naumburg and Arthur Rubinstein International Competitions, and has been a Manhattan School of Music faculty member since 2012.
Program: “Romantic masterpieces” including Rachmaninoff, R. Schumann, Mahler, Glazunov, Korngold, and Piazzola.

Telegraph Quartet

The Telegraph Quartet, formed in 2013, won the 2016 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition, the prestigious Grand Prize in the 2014 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition and is currently the Quartet-in-Residence at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. They are a stunningly world-class local ensemble.

Gould Piano Trio with Robert Plane, Clarinet

Established in 1987, the British Gould Trio has enjoyed universal acclaim for their “music fire” and “dedication to the genre." The Trio rose to international prominence following competition successes and has been at the forefront of international chamber music for over a quarter century. It is a joy to hear such a blended, precise ensemble that has recorded extensively. On this tour they are joined by the “eloquent and expressive” clarinetist, Robert Plane.

Alexander Sitkovetsky, Violin & Wu Qian, Piano

Alexander Sitkovetsky was born in Moscow in 1983 into a famous Russian musical family but moved to Britain at age 8 after his concerto debut to study at the Menuhin School and has lived in the UK since. He also performs with Wu Qian in the Sitkovetsky Trio. They have extensive recordings.
