DONNA CERIO’S BROADWAY DANCE CLASS™  focuses on building the dance skills required to succeed in Musical Theater.

The class strives to build strong technique, the ability to learn many different styles of Broadway choreography, understand character development and the story line behind each dance.

This is a rare beginner class for ages 8-20. This workshop will meet for a month long dance intensive workshop on SAT at the West End Theater at 1554 in San Rafael on Saturdays from 12:30-2:30pm starting on Jan 11th and concluding on Feb 15th . There will be a performance for family and friends at the conclusion to see how far these kids have come.

Donna Cerio has been a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer and a member of Actors' Equity Association for decades. Trained at the School of Cleveland Ballet, she has danced in the National Tours of Cabaret, CATS, Chicago, Joseph...and Dreamcoat, Sweet Charity, and the pre-Broadway Fosse Workshops, as well as many regional productions.

She has taught extensively in New York City at Steps on Broadway and with the National Dance Institute, and has a wide range of Off-Broadway choreography credits.

On the West Coast, Donna has taught and choreographed at the Professional and University level at TheatreWorks, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, ArtsBridge, and Ballet San Jose. Donna specializes in training the next generation of Broadway dancers building strong technique, expression and performance skills in a diverse range of choreography.

Students have been accepted in the most prestigious University Musical Theatre, Dance, and Theatre programs including Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan, Penn State, Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Boston Conservatory, Syracuse, NYU-Tisch, and Julliard.
