FAULTline Art Show’s new exhibition The County Experience is an exploration of the artists that have grown out of the beautiful Marin County art scene.

A diverse exhibition of contemporary visual art, sculpture, tapestry and photography, the FAULTline Art Show features over sixty unique pieces of art that convey the artist’s individual experience while living in Marin Country’s distinctive and rich geography.

This exhibition brings together artistic cultures and styles from a vast range of practices representing this unique community.

Organized by independent curator and Marin County Cultural Commissioner Jennifer B. Wechsler, this exhibit will include works by Clare Rojas, Tucker Nichols, Jay Nelson, Jenny Sharaf, Alice Shaw, among many others.

FAULTline Art Show–The County Experience traces the important art movements throughout Marin County over the last 80 years beginning in the 1940’s with the S.S. Vallejo houseboat residency in Sausalito to West Marin, where the Lucid Art and JB Blunk Foundations still operate today.

Organizations such as Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito’s MarinShip Studios, San Rafael’s Art Works Downtown, and Marin Open Studios are just some examples of Marin County’s continued cultivation of the visual arts – a region like no other known for a myriad of creative opportunities.

This third installation of the FAULTline Art Show series showcases artists who live and create on the earthquake fault that weaves its way through our lives and our state.
