Marin County Parks presents selected photographs from the Marin Wildlife Picture Index motion-sensor camera grid.

This photo exhibit offers a glimpse into the secret lives of bobcats, coyotes, foxes, and other Marin wildlife. Some of the images are playful and look like wildlife selfies or self-portraits!  Each image helps compose a broader portrait of the landscape’s health, connectivity, and resilience.

Celebrate Earth Awareness by visiting the Casual in Nature exhibit during the Mill Valley Art Walk on Tuesday, April 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It's free! Refreshments will be served.

The Marin Wildlife Picture Index, funded by Parks Measure A, is the first of its kind in North America. A landscape-level study of ecosystem health, it has collected over five million wildlife photos on 10,800 acres surrounding Mt. Tam. These public lands are managed by One Tam[External] partners: Marin County Parks, the Marin Municipal Water District, California State Parks, and the National Park Service. This project has also engaged more than 1,000 community science volunteers. The data from this project gives public land managers an indicator of the biodiversity and health of the ecosystems in Marin County.
