Looking at his artwork, music and early films, The Art Life shines a light into the dark corners of David Lynch’s unique world and offers us a better understanding of the man and the artist.
With the new Twin Peaks going strong, we thought it would be fun to take a peek at this fascinating new documentary about David Lynch’s life in art. Looking at his artwork, music and early films, it shines a light into the dark corners of his unique world and offers us a better understanding of the man and the artist. We’re invited into Lynch’s Hollywood Hills compound and given private views of his painting studio, as he tells personal stories that unfold like scenes from his films. Strange characters come into focus, only to fade again into the past, but leaving an indelible mark. We discover how his art and films reflect ideas and moods from his personal experiences.
