Ongoing: Get access to online learning and research resources with your library card
Explore our Online Research & Learning resources.
You will need your library card and password to access these resources.
Our databases and other digital materials are only available to residents of Marin County. Further restrictions apply to some resources.
We are excited to announce the return of Lynda.com to patrons who live in the Marin County Free Library jurisdiction.
We terminated our subscription last Fall due to privacy concerns after the company was acquired by LinkedIn, a subsidiary of Microsoft. After widespread concern about patron privacy and confidentiality was voiced by public libraries across the nation, LinkedIn has revised their terms of service for libraries, and a LinkedIn profile is no longer required for use of Lynda.com through libraries.
Access to the educational site includes over 8,000 courses in popular fields like web design, web development, IT, education/instruction, media production, and business. Experts create and deliver all courses as well as provide supplemental materials like exercise files and relevant work samples.
Achieve personal and professional goals with this online learning platform that covers business, software, technology and creative skills in videos taught by experts. Classes available for beginners, intermediate and advanced users.
