Surviving Skokie is an intensely personal documentary by former Skokie resident Eli Adler about the provocative events of the 1970s that occurred there, when a band of neo-Nazis threatened to march in Skokie, IL.
The film explores his family’s experience of the Shoah, their transition to life in America, and a journey to confront long-suppressed memories.
