Virtual poetry reading with literary partners who are sheltering in place together
This virtual poetry reading series features literary partners who are sheltering in place together.
Couples will chat, read favorites from their own and each others' work, and tell us what this period has been like for them.
Robert Hass is a widely-read and honored contemporary American poet, essayist and translator. He has been Poet Laureate of the United States and has won the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize.
Brenda Hillman's most recent books include a tetralogy about the classical elements of air, water, earth, and fire. Its volumes have received the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, been long listed for the National Book Award, and won the 2014 International Griffin Poetry Prize.
Together they have fostered a poetry of environmental consciousness and a uniquely American poetic idiom.
