A COVID-safe theatrical event: bridges, boats, planes, mountains, islands and sunshine
Using the natural beauty of the Bay Area as its grand and gorgeous outdoor stage, The Heart of San Francisco will celebrate the people, places, and things, that make San Francisco the most famous peace and love generating city in the world.
For the first time, the Bay Area will be transformed into an outdoor theatrical venue for this interdisciplinary, audio-visual performance. The Heart of San Francisco will unite sky-writing, boats, windsurfers, music, the Golden Gate Bridge, mountains, and islands together for a performance to experience in-person or via video streaming.
The performance will culminate with a mile-high heart being drawn over the Golden Gate bridge and will be visible to a large population of the Bay Area (Crissy Field, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, Angel Island, and most of the North Bay, Oakland and Berkeley), or from your homes or other safe place via live-stream. There is no need to crowd together as the Bay Area will serve as our beautiful outdoor amphitheater.
Although we are prohibited from hosting our annual Festival this year, we invite you join the Sausalito Art Festival and Antenna Theater for this live-stream event to celebrate the best of San Francisco.
The PEACE NAVY – comprised of local vessels, windsurfers, banners, burgees and kites will fill the San Francisco Bay as The Heart of San Francisco appears above the Golden Gate Bridge. It will be an afternoon of homegrown celebration of Peace and Love and your participation will make it happen. If you skipper a ship or crew, windsurf, kite fly, or pilot a plane or just want to be a member of the PEACE NAVY - enlist now.
