LOCAL>> Learning Unlimited: Wild Women Poets (In A Pandemic)

Presented by Osher Marin JCC at Streaming Arts

Dale Biron returns with a delicious selection of poems by wild women poets at their rabble-rousing, norm challenging, often inspiring, assumption-busting best.

"Well-behaved women seldom make history."

That's how historian Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, famously put it.

And that is even more true for the great, wild woman poets throughout the ages. Poets willing to speak difficult, surprising, sometimes upsetting truths at those times when we most needed to hear them.

Growing up in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, under the careful watch of a New England bred Father who read voraciously, and a Southern born Mother who loved poetry, literature and Latin, Dale’s love for language was predestined. He is former Poetry Editor for A Network for Grateful Living and served on the Board of Directors of the Marin Poetry Center.
