Use your own photography or found objects to create mixed media works
Mondays, January 11 - February 1
3:30–5:00 pm on Zoom
This class will encourage students to use their own photography or found images to create mixed media works using a collage approach and paint.
We will talk about ideas behind photography and paint and the power of each media. We will look at artists who use image and paint in their own work from the past and present.
This class will focus on the unfolding of a series of artworks.
Facilitator will provide a materials list after registration for students to buy their own supplies. Some students may be buying additional supplies depending on the direction of their individual projects.
About Beth Waldman:
“Born out of a conversation in the fall of 2014 was my Youth Studio Program. A parent friend was looking for a serious but open style studio program for her 7 year old daughter. I happily volunteered to teach her daughter, who was also my daughter’s best friend, and my daughter Lanta in my garage based studio once a week. We, of course, wanted to be sure to include the whole gang, so before I knew it, my one weekly art class of six 2nd graders became two weekly sessions. I truly enjoyed those times and am excited to relaunch my studio program once again!”
