The Marin Museum of Contemporary Art presents its 12th Annual Altered Book Exhibit and Fundraiser.

The Book Becomes Art at Marin’s most unique art show, featuring over 135 stunning, inventive book art objects. Visitors can inspect the artworks in person, then bid online in the Silent Auction running concurrently on Bidsquare.com, through Saturday, May 22 at 6:00 pm.

We are extremely grateful to the artists who have donated their work to MarinMOCA’s biggest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds from the auction support the exhibition and educational programs. The Altered Books are eagerly sought by book art aficionados, who return year after year to see the show.

Registration instructions for online bidding can be found on the website.

Donna Seager, owner of Seager Gray Gallery in Mill Valley, and Mary Austin, Co-Founder of the San Francisco Center for the Book, will select the award-winners, and give a live streamed Art Talk at 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 24.

This year MarinMOCA is pleased to announce that we have again received a $10,000 challenge grant from the Donald O. and Ronald R. Collins Fund of the Marin Community Foundation. The challenge grant will match winning bids and contributions dollar for dollar up to $10,000, effectively doubling each winning bid.

The exhibit is free to the public.
