Sixteenth annual exhibition of handmade artist books, altered books and book-related materials

Seager Gray Gallery presents The Art of the Book, 2021.

This signature show for the gallery is in its 16th year and includes an astounding 45 works by 23 artists. The exhibition runs from May 1 to May 27.

A full color catalog accompanies the exhibition and the artists include Jody Alexander, Doug Beube, Renee Bott, Brian Dettmer, Beth Fein, Andrew Hayes, Charles Hobson, Lisa Kokin, Michele Landel, Sophie Lavigne, Patricia Leeds, Martin Lesinski, Kent Manske and Nanette Wylde, Amandine Nabarra, Emily Payne, Leslie Pearson, Lia Roozendaal, Keri Miki-Lani Schroeder, Tennille Davis Shuster, Brian Singer, Maro Vandorou and Barbara Wildenboer

After 16 years, Seager Gray Gallery has established itself on the leading edge of arts related to books and their yearly catalogs are collected around the world. Our intention is to hit as many buttons as possible in our investigation of text, image and form. From conceptual artists, such as Lisa Kokin, and Doug Beube to exquisite masters of form – Andrew Hayes, Barbara Wildenboer and Leslie Pearson, each exhibition is an homage to the book as a physical manifestation of human history and thought.

The gallery is open with abbreviated hours. Visit us Wednesday - Sunday, from 12 - 5pm.  We are also available by appointment and can meet with you via Zoom or FaceTime.
