The Bay Area Jazz Mobile is a mobile / traveling Jazz venue.

A large van is filled with the necessary equipment to provide Jazz concerts, clinics and workshops in parks, recreation centers, urban plazas, schools, farmers’ markets, senior centers, cultural centers and city and county festivals throughout the Bay Area.

These Jazz events will be free of charge to the public and held primarily outdoors while respecting county health directives of social distancing.

The idea behind this 501(C)(3) corporation is to bring Jazz performances free of charge, directly to communities and neighborhoods in mainly outdoor settings, and to provide much needed employment to local Jazz musicians.

Musicians on the Jazz Mobile are paid a guaranteed fair wage underwritten by Jazz in the Neighborhood.
