Juneteenth in West Marin: A Celebration of Freedom

Dr. Mwanza's Cabaret Underground in collaboration with the San Geronimo Valley Community Center is proud to present, Juneteenth in West Marin: A Celebration of Freedom, Sunday, September 12th, 3:00-5:00 pm in the courtyard of the San Geronimo Valley Community Center in San Geronimo, California.

For the very first time in history ‘Juneteenth’ will be commemorated in San Geronimo Valley in Marin County. This historical event will be educational, informative and entertaining. Juneteenth, traditionally celebrated on June 19th, was rescheduled from a virtual event on 6/27/21 to a live event when the state restrictions lifted.

Through music, storytelling, and incredible performance, our community will celebrate Juneteenth and honor the history and heritage of this important holiday!

Participants in the historic event, listed in order of appearance:

Tickets are $10 for Adults, Children 12 & under are free. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to 'Just Armour “Just Give Love Skate”’ in Marin City, California.

All attendees must show proof of vaccination and face coverings must be worn.
