Isabel Allende: Live at College of Marin

Isabel Allende: Live at College of Marin

Presented by College of Marin Library and College of Marin Performing Arts Department at College of Marin Performing Arts - Kentfield Campus

How lucky are we to have Isabel Allende living right here in Marin?

Known for her wit and charm, Ms. Allende will give a talk about her recent novel, A Long Petal of the Sea, and a collection of stories she wrote decades ago, The Stories of Eva Luna.

Help us celebrate refugees, bilingualism, love, sex, feminism, and the struggle for democracy over authoritarianism.

As an added bonus, there will be a sneak preview of a dramatization of The Stories of Eva Luna, directed by College of Marin's brand new drama instructor, Erin McBride Africa. After two years of isolation, won't it be great to come together as an inter-generational community of book lovers to salute the life and work of Isabel Allende? We will be livestreaming this event on YouTube!

No ticket, no registration, no parking fee, no parking permit: just come and enjoy! This event is most appropriate for adults and teens. Please join us!

Many thanks to Book Passage for making Ms. Allende's appearance possible.
