A free virtual creative writing event hosted by Dominican University’s Creative Writing MFA Program
Join Dominican University’s MFA in Creative Writing Program for a free virtual creative writing event.
In this workshop, John Francis, author of Planetwalker: 17 Years of Silence, 22 Years of Walking, explores his creative process through writing, music and paint.
Dr. John Francis is a celebrated author and environmental steward. His autobiography, Planetwalker, is based on the 22 years that he went without using motorized transportation and the 17 years he went without speaking. His non-profit organization Planetwalk sponsors walks nationally and internationally to promote environmental education and responsibility. Planetwalk is modeled on Dr. John Francis’s worldwide pilgrimage that works to transcend cultural, social and political boundaries by fostering communication between young people, scientists and environmental practitioners.
This creative writing event is a service to the public and there is no charge for participating (registration required). Dominican University of California is a nonprofit institution.
