Seager Gray is pleased to announce our exhibition for Wolfgang Bloch, “Paisajes Del Silencio” - Scenes of Silence.

The elegant paintings are evocative of the oceanic feeling of sitting by a vast sea or mountaintop – that “stillpoint” that offers a deep and abiding sense of peace and well-being.

In speaking of this exhibition, Bloch referred to the “chatter” in his head and how being out in nature allowed him to overcome it. He consciously brings that stillness into the studio.

“I am moving paint around and trying to get to that place where the quiet in my mind is reflected in the canvas. I stand back and look and it is always a surprise to me when it comes together. Somehow it involves finding the exact quality of light.”
