Barry "The Fish" Melton Band

Presented by Corte Madera Community Foundation at Piccolo Pavilion, Menke Park

Corte Madera Summer Concerts

If you grew up in the 60s listening to music or a fan of music from that era you will not want to miss this show.

This will be the first time we have had a musician in the park who previously performed at the Woodstock Peace and Love Festival in 1969.

In fact, the documentary film features Barry Melton performing in his then-band, Country Joe and the Fish, and leading the audience in the infamous “No Rain” chant.

Barry’s band will include other icons from the 60s. On keyboards will be Banana from the Youngbloods (“Get Together”); on drums will be Roy Blumenfeld from one of my favorite 60s bands, the highly underrated Blues Project; on bass will be Peter Albin who performed with Janis Joplin in Big Brother and the Holding Company, and on guitar will be David Aguilar from the Norton Buffalo and Lester Chambers bands.

This is a rare opportunity to see rock/blues history in an intimate, outdoor setting. See you at Menke Park.
