Christmas Concert & Carol Sing

CPC is excited to welcome two talented groups from the Marin School of the Arts!

The concert features the Jazz Combo and MSA Vocal Music! The Jazz Program at MSA is highly regarded as one of the top programs in the country for high school students. The award-winning MSA Vocal Music will perform various holiday songs, including Deck the Halls, Silent Night, and S’vivon.

Throughout MSA's performances, Sibel Demirmen, Jere Torkelsen, and Parker Grant will lead the audience in singing Christmas carols, like these favorites: Frosty the Snowman and O Come All Ye Faithful.

Sibel Demirmen is hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as a “superb singer” with a “crystalline voice,” Sibel has sung, and continues to perform, with many Bay Area and New York operas, orchestras, and theaters. Sibel currently serves as the Director of Music at CPC.

Jere Torkelsen has been an active member of the San Francisco Opera chorus since 1987 and is currently the Vice President of the Marin Musical Theatre Company. CPC is quite lucky to have Jere sing in the church choir.

Parker Grant is described as an “exceptional pianist” by SF Jazz, Parker performs regularly throughout the Bay Area. During the day can be found teaching at Adda Clevenger School. Parker is a part of the CPC as a Worship Accompanist and 2022 Music Camp Director.
