"Flood of Kindness" Book Celebration

Presented by Create Peace Project at Umpqua Bank

The book/art/fundraising party will include a reading by illustrator Laurie Marshall of "The Flood of Kindness - Inspired by Hurricane Katrina," written by her godson, De'Ante Webster of Indianapolis.

The story was created by a child to help children who have been affected by massive weather events. The first five people get a free book!

Those who come are invited to make Peace Postcards to send to schools in weather afflicted communities (Santa Rosa, Puerto Rico, Florida,Texas and Sonoma/Napa) play with a kindness activity page and eat delicious “Be Kind” cake featured in the book.

A part of the proceeds will go to help those who have lost their homes in the Santa Rosa fire.
