Join us—via Zoom—to learn about art straight from the source. The virtual Artist Symposium features micro-presentations from AWD exhibitors and studio artists while giving audience members a chance to join the conversation using the chat function. Youth in Arts
INSPIRED: Teaching Artists Exhibition
October 9–November 27
Window Exhibition at 917 C Street
Learn more about the exhibition here.
“How did you stay INSPIRED during the shelter in place?” This is the question we posed to the teaching artists featured in this year’s INSPIRE exhibition, on view in the Youth in Arts Windows and online. This annual exhibit of original painting, photography, prints, and original works on paper explores the connections between North Bay teaching artists’ professional work and ideas they share with their students. It is the only Youth in Arts exhibition that features work by adults in our kid-focused gallery, and all works are marked for sale.
Featuring work by: Barry Beach, Carina Ybarra, Cathy Bowman, Jackie La Lanne, Jennifer Lipson, Julia James, Katharine Boyd, Katy Bernheim, Molly Blauvelt, Nance Miller, Suzanne Joyal, & Taylor Mancini.
COVID-19 Disclaimer: In person Art Walks have been cancelled until further notice.
The need to see art in person and to physically enjoy art together with fellow art lovers is understood and appreciated. However, in-person Art Walks are currently on hold until large group gatherings are absolutely safe for every person. Until then, we can fortunately enjoy the opportunity of online programing.
Anchored by Art Works Downtown galleries and artist studios in the heart of the Downtown San Rafael Arts District, the 2nd Friday Art Walk links venues along downtown Fourth Street in San Rafael, the second Friday of each month, 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
