The TED licensee and Executive Producer of TEDxMarin is Bob Ayres.

TEDx began as a grand experiment. The program has been embraced with passion and dedication by hundreds, if not thousands of volunteer communities across the planet.

Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading”, the TEDx program was designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. Events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. TEDx events are open source, local and community-driven events that inspire innovation, thought leadership and visionary insight. Each TEDx event has their own name and organizational team.  All TEDx events follow guidelines for content and formatting established by TED.

  • Annual Gala of TED Talks and Filming – Each year since 2010 we have presented live talks and filming of a stellar lineup of speakers in September at the James Dunn Theater at College of Marin, Kentwood.  These talks follow the same format as the original TED Conferences and are similarly prepared for video presentation.
  • New in 2018: our Salon Series – TEDxSalons have a unique format. At each Salon we’ll go deep into one specific TOPIC, with insights from leaders in their field. Our Salons will promote thoughtful inquiry, broadened points of view, and time for a moderated Question and Answer segment between our featured speakers and the audience.
